Based on the results of a study of construction and repair work carried out at road facilities in 2021-2022 in materials published in the media and social networks according to the head of the Trust Fund for the Development of Highways of the Ministry of Finance It is not true that in 45 cases 34 trillion 575 billion soums of funds were recorded as inefficient and illegal spending.

Although these materials indicate that in total, the Fund allocated 13.3 trillion soums for road works in 2021 and the first half of 2022, the funds in the amount of 34.5 trillion soums are illogical to prove that they were spent inefficiently and illegally.

After clarifications provided by the committee's press service, information on some websites was amended, and the phrase "34.5 trillion soums" was replaced with "34.5 billion soums."

In turn, information was clarified on the inefficient use of funds in the amount of 34.5 billion soums, information was received from the State Inspectorate for Financial Control under the Ministry of Finance.

According to the data presented, 12.1 billion soums (36%) out of 34.5 billion soums belong to enterprises and facilities that are not related to the road infrastructure of the republic.

15.8 billion soums (71%) of the remaining 22.4 billion soums have not been approved.

The rest of the shortcomings of road construction in the amount of 6.6 billion soums were completely eliminated during the inspection and formalized with the relevant documents.

It should be noted that among the identified deficiencies, there were no cases of theft of the Fund's funds.

The Committee for Highways reiterates that it is open to all media, bloggers and citizens and stands ready to answer any questions related to the industry while respecting constitutional rights to free speech.
